Meet the CE Committee!

Meet the Graduate Assistants of the UConn SLHS Community Engagement Committee! The Community Engagement (CE) Committee is composed of 4 graduate students and 6 faculty members. Committee members run the department social media platforms to share SLHS news, student, faculty, and alumni achievements, department events, and more. CE members also create and develop platforms to strengthen our alumni network. The CE committee supports the department goal of providing speech-language and hearing outreach to underserved communities. Current projects include providing literacy groups to children exposed to domestic violence, working to increase information about the provision of hearing screenings for home births, and more. Students and faculty are set to provide a speech-language- literacy training to CT’s child advocates this March. SLHS’s current community partners include the CCADV, EDHI, and DPH. The CE graduate assistants are supported by the faculty members, who provide guidance in these various projects. Swipe through to learn more about our hardworking graduate assistants and faculty members!
