MA-SLP Alumni’s Research Published in the Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences

Two of our SLHS graduates, Arden Ricciardone, B.A., SLHS ‘23; M.A. SLP ‘25, and Matthew Phillips, B.A., SLHS ‘22; M.A. SLP ‘24, recently had their work published in the Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences.

Arden’s undergraduate thesis investigated the bigger picture that everyday skills, such as understanding a nonnative accent, can be harder for people who have had a concussion than those who have not.

Matt’s study investigated the speech therapy experiences of people who stutter (PWS) in childhood and adulthood, including the helpfulness and generalizability of specific intervention approaches.
