April is National Interprofessional Healthcare Month!

On April 14, 2025, our second-year speech-language pathology students participated in an Interprofessional Education event with students and faculty from pharmacy and dietetics. During this event, students collaborated with one another to work through a complex case study involving a patient with Parkinson’s Disease. This event encouraged interprofessional collaboration to promote the best outcomes for the fictional patient and highlighted the roles of each discipline in the assessment, diagnostic, and treatment process for the patient.
