Sean Stenglein presents to 2nd Year MA-SLP students!

October is AAC month!
Sean Stenglein, a 26 year old, with cerebral palsy communicates through the use of Tobii Dynavox’s I-16+ speech generating device with the Communicator 5 language system via eye gaze. Today, he presented at SLHS’s graduate level AAC course to 19 second year MA SLP students. Sean is an amazing advocate for himself and others with disabilities. He is on track to graduate from college this coming May and has plans to become an advocate for individuals with disabilities. Sean is a well-known public speaker both locally, throughout New England and he was recently one of Tobii Dynavox’s Ambassadors at the 2024 ATIA conference in Orlando, FL. Sean currently works at Manchester Area Conference of Churches and provides community service to Covenant Soup Kitchen by picking up surplus food at UConn and is helping veterans through the Northeast Veterans Base Camp!  Sean loves to travel, ride his bike, and surf. Sean is bold and brave- a true inspiration and it was a pleasure to have him in class.
